I just managed to throw my credit card behind the self-checkout machine at the grocery store (we got it out with a broom)

I feel kind of bad for celebrities now that instead of just having to go on talk shows for their press junkets for movies, they also have to sit in the audience of The Voice and talk to the host about their movies during the performance breaks.

atlienne replied to your post: Magic pants what brand are these magic pants with butt room? These are Ann Taylor Loft in Curvy Skinny (as in Curvy shape and Shinny cut, probably anything in their Curvy would be good). I think they also might run a little big. I am probably a size smaller in these than my Calvins. But, I also SWEAR by Calvin Klein jeans. They regularly fit me in the waist...

Goldbrick
Merriam-Webster’s word of the day today is “goldbrick.” My grandfather liked to call my mom goldbrick because she “just wanted to sit there and look pretty” instead of doing work. My mom later passed the moniker to me. I know that this might sound mean, but it was really a very affectionate teasing in my family, so having the word pop up in my email this morning was...

Magic pants
I ran into a good friend yesterday, and we stopped to chat. She mentioned that she just bought a new pair of jeans bc the old ones were too baggy in the butt. She then gave the old jeans to me. I put them on this morning and they are glorious. They fit in the waist, but are not tight in any way. They end after after my ankle. They are a crazy soft (but not stretchy) denim. And they just have a...

A woman just claimed that Chicago is a friendly city because people will carry your suitcase for you up or down stairs. I have traveled to Chicago with a suitcase about 10 times in the last 5 years, and this has never happened. Sidenote: you pack your own damn suitcase, so if it is too heavy for you, it’s your own damn fault.

So I’ve been using this work wrong? I thought you could use it to mean (more or less) repurpose. What word was I actually looking for?

Yay, I got the grade I need to do my thesis. BUT, I’m not excited yet, because this whole process has been a nightmare, so I’m just going to wait for the administrative lady to get back to me (I just emailed her) confirming my thesis before I celebrate.

I went straight from finals into doing stuff for my thesis project (which is still unconfirmed as my grade is still MIA). And I just want to have a break from homework and just have a week of just having a full time job. Whine, whine, whine, bitch, bitch, moan. It’s just hard to do work on a project that might not even be approved.

Boston Brunette: Of Course →
bostonbrunette: So, the new house that we both absolutely loved? Well, it wasn’t listed on MLS until this Tuesday, but according to our realtor, it went under contract on Monday. I don’t even know how that is possible, or why they would list it if they already had it under contract. I can’t do much beyond… I know nothing about the housing market in Arlington, but I am very familiar with...

I'm really excited about my bday plans
The night before I’m going to drunk-watch (we have a game that goes with it) the last Twilight movie with margs. AND a one-year-old red coonhound will be in attendance. Then I’m going to spend the rest of the weekend with my fam and getting to catch up with some old friends. Yay :)

I visted the fam this weekend, and I always take the train now to get back and forth. My train back was at 6 this morning, and my dad got up at 4:45 this morning with me so that he could drive me to the station on time (and then he was just going into the office from there as it didn’t make sense to drive back out of the city).

I’m super pissed at my sister A because she totally dicked over my sister M, and in a way that also might totally dick me over. She is always been the inconsiderate one of the family, and I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to send her a dick text/phone call. But I’m not going to as that would be passive aggressive of me AND it’s A’s bday tomorrow. So instead I’m bitching on...

kicking myself a bit
A few weekends back, I had a stomach virus and spent a lot of the weekend emptying my body and sleeping. I had an exam the next Monday. Instead of taking the day off work to take it easy and do more studying, I went to work all day and then continued on to class (where I was again feeling nauseated and out of it and running a low grade fever) and took the exam. I didn’t know until the next...

I get a lot of emails at work from people trying to get me to buy promo branded products from them for my company. I never read them as I only purchase these things rarely, and when I do, I just do a bunch of research to find the lowest price. However I did just open one as it began with “In the immortal words of Salt-N-Pepa (and their lesser known unloved stepsister Spinderella):...
