I feel kind of bad for celebrities now that instead of just having to go on talk shows for their press junkets for movies, they also have to sit in the audience of The Voice and talk to the host about their movies during the performance breaks.

A woman just claimed that Chicago is a friendly city because people will carry your suitcase for you up or down stairs. I have traveled to Chicago with a suitcase about 10 times in the last 5 years, and this has never happened. Sidenote: you pack your own damn suitcase, so if it is too heavy for you, it’s your own damn fault.

I did hear back from my department, so the thesis now appears to all be locked in.
Now I’m filling out my IRB application.
Yay, I got the grade I need to do my thesis. BUT, I’m not excited yet, because this whole process has been a nightmare, so I’m just going to wait for the administrative lady to get back to me (I just emailed her) confirming my thesis before I celebrate.

I went straight from finals into doing stuff for my thesis project (which is still unconfirmed as my grade is still MIA). I visted the fam this weekend, and I always take the train now to get back and forth. My train back was at 6 this morning, and my dad got up at 4:45 this morning with me so that he could drive me to the station on time (and then he was just going into the office from there as it didn’t make sense to drive back out of the city).
